I wanted to make some purses using the vibrant neon British wools. This purse is part of a collection I have made.

Full description
I wove this British wool fabric for this purse on my vintage 4 shaft loom in my home studio. Using alternating picks of neon green and neon orange against a dark grey warp, a more subtle tweed effect has been created. The fabric was then wet finished before cutting out and sewing my own design to fit the 12.5 cm antique brass metal purse frame. The base has boxed corners giving more room and a pleasant shape. I lined it with an African wax print effect fabric.
The purse/mini bag is finished off with a antique brass detachable chain allowing it to be used across body as a mini bag to put your essentials in. Large enough to fit in a medium sized mobile phone, keys etc.
