I used to work in a museum and I wanted to recreate some specimen jars with labels. I made a series of bud vases of which this is one, perfect for flowers.

Full description
A small porcelain bud vase with a spider image on the front and a specimen label 'arachnid' design on the reverse. Hand thrown on the potter's wheel, then glazed inside and outside but not on the base. Porcelain clay is fired at very high temperatures and the clay is fully vitrified with the glaze making it completely watertight. The spider transfer is a third firing at 800 degrees centigrade and is permanent. The bud vase measures approximately 9cm high, 5.5cm diameter at the base and 2.5cm opening. Perfect for holding several flower buds or plants.
