This unique item would make an excellant gift for a gardener or bird fancier, as we well know encouraging birds into the garden is very rewarding.
The dish itself was thrown on my wheel using a stoneware clay. A bee motif at the centre adds an interest to the vessel and provides a landing point for our little guests. An eye catching speckled, minty glaze adds a calming quality that catches the light outside beautifully.
Elevated upon a stocky tree stump the dish offers birds a place to drink and bathe whilst adding a pleasing feature to any garden.
Equally this dish would also make a splendid serving platter.
