wood and resin unique chopping board. Scottish Elm Burr wood with teal resin. Stunning statement kitchenware handmade and designed by us, designed using stunning Scottish Elm wood and teal colored resin, hand cast using traditional methods. This unique chopping board has taken months of hand work. We sourced the burr wood, which is exceptional quality, tight swirls and remarkable grain. We have used a sweeping style designed onto the wood to create a flowing movement at one end, while keeping the stunning natural burr at the other end. All the loose burr has been removed by hand, and we have filled the bigger cracks with a teal colored resin, created especially for this board. This board has been worked by hand and is totally unique. This board has been hand sanded to a very high grit, oiled with food safe oil and waxed then re sanded giving a highly polished like marble finish. The overall effect is striking!
This chopping board will make a very practical board in your kitchen. It is hard wearing, and although beautiful, will keep its beauty even after lots of use. We recommend cleaning with a soft cloth, drying and then applying a good olive oil all over to feed the wood.

Please note that the resin has natural bubbling during the settling period which will remain in the hardened resin.
