Welcome to Janiemade and my little corner of Folksy where you can buy my crocheted creations. If you're looking for skilfully handmade gifts and home decor I hope you'll find something you love. I enjoy crocheting with natural fibres, mainly cotton, and many of my home decor items use recycled braided cotton cord or recycled cotton T shirt yarn. All items are ready to post and I only charge postage on your first item. Your order will be sent by Royal Mail 2nd class post.

I love making toys that I hope will become childhood favourites, with a simple shape that is easy for little hands to hold.
My toys are made with great care, to the highest standards. Each one, with hand embroidered features, is unique. They are designed to make good companions for young children, encouraging imaginative play, but always ready for a cuddle too, to bring comfort when needed.
My elephant toy is adapted from a pattern by emlansemlanskreativa.

Full description
This little elephant with hand embroidered features would make a delightful child’s birthday present or gift for a new baby. He stands approx. 12 cm tall and is 14cm long from trunk to tail.
This 'ragdoll' style crochet toy is made in two pieces that are crocheted together, so that there is no chance of him losing his legs. His ears and tail are securely attached to the body and, as with all my toys, he has been designed to be safe for babies and young children to play with and meets the requirements of the Toy (Safety) Regulations 2011. He displays the new UKCA mark on his label.
He has been made with 100% cotton yarn which has a lovely soft texture and is filled with squishy 100% hi-loft polyester toy stuffing. His eyes are hand embroidered with cotton embroidery thread.
You have a choice of 3 eye options – dark grey sleepy eyes, purple sleepy eyes or black open eyes.
I recommend a gentle hand wash in warm water, dry flat and do not tumble dry.
My crochet animals are designed to be played with but please inspect for signs of damage before giving to a child.
He will be posted to you carefully wrapped in tissue paper, enclosed in a cardboard box.
