Description

Meet Dandelion,
Dandelion is a hand-painted makeunder doll designed to encourage imaginative play. She was a second-hand Bratz doll who has been given a new lease on life as a unique, age-appropriate Festival folk doll. She has beautiful blue eyes and long blonde hair with a fringe.

She has enjoyed a thorough spa treatment and had her hair detangled, washed and trimmed. She has been cleaned and sterilised. Her face has been repainted by hand and sealed to give her a fresh, natural look. Dandelion has a cute outfit, including a hand knitted Rowan tweed cardigan top and matching linen trouser and brown silicone handmade pop on and off boots. Bratz dolls have foot nubs and shoes pop on and off to change.

Dandelion was a Bratz doll in a previous life (see her "Before" photo) she is approximately 27cm tall with jointed arms and legs.

The products used in Dandelion’s make-under are non-toxic however small parts may be a choking hazard to children under 3.

Festival folk dolls are beautifully gift boxed for safe travel and immediate gift-giving! Before and After picture and care instructions are included in the box. I love up-cycling dolls! I’ve tried to learn all I could about repainting dolls. I have played around with many techniques to enable me to produce increasingly detailed dolls in acrylic paint. It is always fascinating to watch a new face come to life- it never ceases to amaze me how the smallest change in the angle of a line or choice of colour can produce faces that are completely unique although they start from the same head shape. I love sewing and spend many hours making cute dresses and knitting beautiful little jumpers. It's an ever-evolving process- that's why I love it!
