My prints are set in a long history of nature print - a method of printmaking where the plants themselves are directly used in the process. It is a wonderful way of keeping close to nature whlist making art and can create beautiful results. I am inspired by the forever changing plants on our little patch of land in the middle of nowhere on the Yorkshire Wolds that surrounds my studio. This print features the Umbellifer family of plants and other summer pickings.

Full description
This delicate nature monoprint has been made with love and nature in my studio in the middle of nowhere on the Yorkshire Wolds. Each print I make is a unique and original print - there is only one of it. I love the forthiness and delicate marks that the Umbellifer family of plants make and often use them in my prints. Around my studio we are slowly growing a forest garden and following the principles of permaculture which is creating a beautiful wild place from which I can gather plants and slowly work with nature.
Each print is made on my etching press and the colours are hand mixed for each print.
These little wooden panel pieces are presented in a way that they are ready to hang - they are 15 x 15 cm and 2cm deep - perfect for a little gallery wall collection.
