Lavender is one of my favourite plants. I have it in clumps around the garden. But seeing (and smelling) the commercial lavender fields is something special. This is my interpretation of French lavender fields in Provence.

A sweet little brooch showing lavender fields.
A summer day, lavender swaying in the breeze, sunshine and clouds. Reminds me of Provence and of course, Yorkshire lavender.
It has a slightly raised effect.
The core is wool worked into a firm shape by needle felting. The art work has been needle felted onto this firm shape.
A brooch fastener has been attached to the reverse.
It can be worn as a brooch or an adornment for a bag, hat or mount as a small picture on your wall.
The brooch measures 5 cms across.
Made by needle felting wool with a barbed needle.
