During the 2020 lockdown one of the things I missed most (apart from family, friends, and the pub!) was the beautiful beaches of Northumberland.
I've had this little project in mind for a few years but the coronavirus lockdown gave me the kick up the backside (and time) to get on with it!
I started with sketches taken from pictures of favourite beaches in my phone, from there made the original reduction linoprints (where you pirnt one colour layer then cut into the lino again - and repeat - until the print's complete). Then scanned in the originals to get these high quality cards, printed on 350gsm card.
