I have decorated this pendant with a scrolled technique. Enamels are particularly adapted to this technique.
After building up a solid base of several layers of either white or clear enamel I add a single layer of coloured enamel. After firing that I add other colours randomly, either by scattering small heaps of enamel powder on the base or by setting sections of enamel rod on it. When the piece reaches red heat in the kiln I draw through the surface with a steel point to disturb the colours and draw them into a pattern. This is not a controlled activity in the sense that the colours move in ways i can predict and arrange; I get what the material allows.
Each pattern is unique.

After building up layers of clear enamel on the copper shape I added a layer of green. green, light green and white. I then scattered white and black enamel on the green and disturbed this with a steel point when the piece was a red hot in the kiln. This has generated a swirled pattern from dark green to light green with hints of black and white.
The seahorse is 42mm long, 15mm at its widest. I have mounted it on a 45cm, silver plate curb chain fastening with a simple bolt ring.
Your pendant will be sent boxed, by Royal Mail first class large letter, signed for.
