Full description
The delicate silhouettes of Cow Parsley seed heads with small blue butterflies fluttering around them are depicted on this pretty blue and white birthday card. The design originates from my original Cyanotype creations inspired by the lovely delicate seed heads in the British hedgerows.
To create the original design using the old photographic process of Cyanotype - a light sensitive solution is applied to Bockingford watercolour paper, a large format negative placed on then exposed to sunlight, the solution is then rinsed off and the paper dried, fixing the image in lovely blue tones.
The recycled card measures 10.5 x 15cm and is supplied with a ribbed brown recycled envelope in an eco-friendly clear wrap (made from corn starch these are fully biodegradable and compostable).
