Full description
Tote bag with hot air balloons flying over hills. A fun tote bag in textured and velvety green fabric with added pastel blue and white fabric on the front to represent the sky. The bag has an appliqué design depicting hot air balloons flying over hills. Three hot air balloons in salmon/coral pink, yellow and purple float in a sunny tranquil sky over tree-lined hills grazed by sheep. I've used an array of print fabrics for the balloons and sun. The tiny trees are made from golden yellow satin, burnt orange tweed and green textured fabrics. I’ve used hessian to make realistic-looking baskets on the balloons and I've hand-stitched the ropes. There is also hand-stitched detailing on the sun. I've hand-embroidered the tiny sheep using French knots. The bag is lined with pale blue fabric with small white polka dots.
This fun tote bag with its delightful scene would make a lovely gift, particularly for anyone who loves hot air balloons and the countryside.
The approximate measurements of the tote bag are:
14 inches (36cm) high x 12.5 inches (32cm) wide x 3 inches (8cm) across the base. The handles are of a length that can be worn on the shoulder or hand-carried.
