These were born in response to Covid-19. Initially it started with 'Rainbow Wren of Hope' birds to hang in your window and then it expanded into jewellery, including earrings, pendants, brooches and pins. A reminder of hope.

This little bird was a labour of love as I make the rainbow glass and then grind each bird into shape by hand, using cold working tools and machinery, before a second and sometime third firing. I am mostly taking away glass to grind and carve into shape.
Please let me know whether you would like me to post this to someone directly. I can also add a little note.
Kiln forming is a process where glass is layered and heated in a kiln to a temperature where the glass melts and the layers fuse together. All my glass is digitally annealed and cooled for strength and safety in my studio in Bristol. 2020© Robyn Coetzee Glass
