Hello there, thanks for visiting my page and taking the time to find out a little bit more about me and my glass obsession!
I work from my home-studio in Bristol and I am a member of a co-operative gallery/shop called Fig located on the thriving Gloucester road where the six of us sell our artwork. If you are ever in Bristol please come and visit us. The Gloucester road is a thriving high street full of interesting independant shops.
My journey into glass started with beading, a traditional craft of South Africa where I was born and lived until I was nineteen. Art and craft is a way of life in Africa. I visit Cape Town regularly and used to stock up on hand-made glass beads so for fun I decided to take a course in bead making, but it turned out the course was in glass fusing! A serendipitous mistake because twenty years later I am lucky enough to be making a living from creating jewellery and artwork in glass.
I have a BA in Fine Arts and I regularily attend glass courses to update and learn new skills and techniques. I make my own silver findings to compliment my glass jewellery.
Glass is not my everything... I have a husband and two dogs who take up most of my time outside of my studio, alongside music gigs, festivals and travel
