Full description
A patchwork style, hand-embroidered needle book, from vintage fabric scraps - finished with a crocheted edging.
Scraps of vintage fabrics have been 'felted' to a commercial felt background using an embellisher machine. The edges of the patches have been secured with cross stitches in white thread. A lace trimming flower has been stitched to the cover and given some hand embroidered leaves. The cover is finished by an edging of blanket stitch in white cotton thread into which a picot crochet edging has been worked.
The needle book is lined in a green striped fabric with salmon pink flowers. Two pieces of vintage soft flannelette are folded and securely stitched in place, to provide four 'pages' for your needles and pins. The needle case closes by a tying a bow in white satin ribbons.
