Full description
A small stoneware bud vase with a bee decoration on the surface. Hand thrown on the potter's wheel, then glazed inside and outside but not on the base. Stoneware clay is fired at very high temperatures and the clay is fully vitrified with the glaze making it completely watertight. The bee transfer is a third firing at 800 degrees centigrade and is permanent. Each bud vase measures approximately 8.5cm high and 4cm diameter at the base, but there may be small variations being individually made. The clay fires a light buff colour. Perfect for holding one or two flower buds or plants.
