Merry Christmas one and all. My shop is now closed until the New Year. Thank you everyone who has shopped with me throughout 2023.
I love to make small things. I also am fascinated with texture and the tactile nature of ceramics. I work with porcelain, and when I was carving my vases, I noticed you could see the light through the carvings. I have made these tealight holders to add to any home, and they allow the light to shine through the carvings, as you can see from the photographs. This particular texture is inspired by bark patterns on trees.

Porcelain heart shaped tealight holder. Each one is carved and the nature of porcelain means that the candle light diffuses through the carvings. Brightness depends on the thickness of the clay or the glaze.
Each heart is 8cm at its widest point, top to bottom, and is the size of a tealight at the base. They are approximately 5ish cms high. These are approximate measurements, but you can have an idea of scale in relation to the tea light.
The hearts are glazed inside and out so that you can wipe out wax should you need to, and to reflect the shine of the tealight flame.
