These colourful little flowers are so cheerful and I look forward to seeing them every Spring. I wanted to make something to enjoy all year round, and the fact that it is low maintenance is an added bonus.

Full description
Three felt polyanthus flowers in a little terracotta pot - a low maintenance and drought resistant splash of colour!
These colourful flowers are hand sewn and have wire felt-covered poseable stems. Each flower has a sequin and a glass bead at the centre, there are two leaves which have hand stitched veins, and they are all sitting comfortably in a bed of soft brown felt soil. Everything is fixed securely into a classic little terracotta pot, and there are some 2p coins inside which give the item a nice bit of weight. I used polyester felt which is made from recycled post-consumer plastic bottles - a soft, strong and colourful material.
The height to the top of the tallest flower is about 10.5 cms, including the pot, and the width is 7 cms. I photographed it in natural light which I hope shows the colour accurately, but bear in mind that screens vary.
The care instructions are not complicated - just remember that it is NOT A TOY, and place it somewhere safe, that's all !
An ideal gift for a keen gardener, a reluctant indoor gardener, maybe as a special thank you gift for a teacher, or just someone who likes flowers.
