I have been keen to teach myself the drop vessel technique in glass fusing. It has been a great lesson, not only in the method but in the removal of excess glass.

Full description
This handmade vase has been made with five layers of hand cut red and black glass arranged into a stripe pattern. It was fused into a solid block before going back into the kiln to drop through a ceramic ring under a watchful eye, ensuring it achieved a flat surface on which to stand. The excess glass was then cut off and the rim was coldworked to an even surface. This final process resulted in a few superficial chips (as pictured) and as such, the price has been lowered to reflect this.
It is a beautiful unique vase perfect not only for flowers, but also makeup brushes or even a pen pot for your home office. It stands approx 10.5 cm tall and the opening is 6.5cm wide.
