Full description
A pretty pouch featuring an embellished patchwork of vintage fabrics, with a white spray of crocheted flowers and daisies, cut from trimmings, combined with hand embroidery.
Fragments of cotton fabric were 'felted' to a panel of commercial felt using an embellisher machine. This creates an aged, faded look and some distressing of the fabric. The edges of the patches, and areas of particular distressing, were supported by cross stitches in cotton thread. A spray of flowers was created on top of the patchwork, using trimming flowers and hand embroidery. The back panel of the pouch is a rose print fabric. Back and front panels are backed with interfacing. The pouch is lined in a cream fabric and is entirely handstitched. The pouch closes with a button hole stitch loop over a pink button.
The pouch is a comfortable fit for a packet of pocket tissues which are commonly available (they have not been included since this significantly increases the postage costs due to size restrictions), but the pouch could also be used for other purposes such as a small phone.
