Thanks so much for your support, Kate
After an afternoon of creative art with my daughter and playing with stamps I decided to try some sponge marks on these mugs. It was fun to do and I really like the effect. Each mug is slightly different but they make a good set together as well. The raw clay at the base of the mug gives a satisfying contrast to the smooth glaze.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
Handmade stoneware mug made on my potters wheel using a flecked clay body. When it is leather hard I attach and pull the handle. I like to make the handles so that your thumb can sit comfortably on the top.
It is bisque fired then white gloss lead-free glaze is applied. I then added blue glaze with a sponge to make the pattern on each mug. The mugs are then fired again to 1220 oC.
Height of mug about 9 cm
Diameter about 8 cm
Capacity about 300 ml
This listing is for 1 mug, all mugs are handmade and although I make the mugs in small batches with the same amount of clay and glaze there will be some variation in colour and shape, making each beautifully unique.
Where possible I will reuse packaging. I never buy new bubble wrap but reuse a stock from parcels that I receive.
