I had a beautiful wood panel that made me think of ripples in the sand, perfect for a wading bird.

Full description
This wood wall panel is mounted with 3 running sanderling. I have hand carved each bird from a sheet of 10mm lime. They have glass eyes and each has raised leg detail to give the impression of depth.
They have been hand painted with artists acrylics and are mounted on a beautifully grained 8mm thick ash panel with an additional strip cut along the grain beneath their running feet.
The whole panel has been finished with wax to give a soft shine and it is hung from a simple piece of twine.
It is 21cm x 46cm excluding twine.
