I have decorated this pendant with a scrolled technique. Enamels are particularly adapted to this technique.
After building up a solid base of several layers of clear enamel I add a single layer of coloured enamel. After firing that I add other colours randomly, either by scattering small heaps of enamel powder on the base or by setting sections of enamel rod on it. When the piece reaches red heat in the kiln I draw through the surface with a steel point to disturb the colours and draw them into a pattern. This is not a controlled activity in the sense that the colours move in ways i can predict and arrange; I get what the material allows.
Each pattern is unique.

Full description
This pendant is a swirl of blue over white in a unique pattern.
The oval measures 12mm by 18mm. There is a photo showing it with a 20p coin to give an idea of the size. It is mounted on 45cm , silver plated, curb chain that fastens with a simple bolt ring.
