LET ME KNOW IF THERE ARE ANY GREETINGS TO INCLUDE.
My interest in vases relates both to function, in displaying collections of flowers or other material, and to their sculptural potential. I enjoy designing for when the vase will remain empty and the appeal will be in its sculptural form, surface treatment and colour. This may be supplemented, as with this vase, by employing a makers seal to add visual stimuli but the ice blue celadon glaze is more about subtle effects than strong contrast. However, this oriental-style vase can also be a simple functional vessel and help the owner to create an original and eye-catching flower display.

An elegant ice-blue porcelain vase showing subtle colour variations reflecting the melting and downward flow of the glaze. The wheel thrown vase will add a perfect accent to any home. Works great for showing off a bouquet of flowers or display just on its own. This vase was made with a UK porcelain and after biscuit firing the glaze was applied in several layers and the piece was fired to 1300C. This makes it impermeable and very durable.
- All of my work is one-of- a-kind and made by hand.
- As with all my pottery, items are food, oven, microwave, and dishwasher safe.
- The vase measures approximately 21cm tall and 8cm wide.
- The bottom is impressed with my seal, the letter P, and its identity number 9669.
