LET ME KNOW IF THERE ARE ANY GREETINGS TO INCLUDE.
My interest in vases relates both to function, in displaying collections of flowers or other material, and to their sculptural potential. I enjoy designing for when the vase will remain empty and the appeal will be in its sculptural form, surface treatment and colour. This may be supplemented, as with this vase, by employing colours and textures that might be seen in an impressionist painting. However, this elegant vase can also be a functional vessel and help the owner to create an original and eye-catching flower display.

An elegant stoneware vase with a range of colours reflecting the melting and downward flow of the glaze, its thickness and its chemical interaction with the clay minerals and the iron oxide decoration. The wheel thrown vase will add a perfect accent to any home. Ideal for showing off a bouquet of flowers or display just on its own.
The vase was made with a UK stoneware and, after biscuit firing, the glaze was applied in several layers. Finally the piece was fired to 1300C. This makes it impermeable and very durable.
- All of my work is one-of- a-kind and made by hand.
- As with all my pottery, items are food, oven, microwave, and dishwasher safe.
- The vase measures approximately 22cm tall and 9cm wide.
- The bottom is impressed with my seal, the letter P, and its identity number 9671.
