Whenever we see some inspiration in the world around us, we find it difficult to think about anything else. The picture of the wood pigeons on the wire was exactly that, as soon as I took the photo I didn't stop until the picture was finished.
For me it's a lovely representation of true love, but also it reminds me of a lovely summer morning, walking my daughter to school.

This gorgeous papercut picture of two birds sitting on a telephone wire was created from an original photograph taken last year. As I was walking my daughter to school one morning we noticed these two lovely wood pigeons sitting quietly next to each other on a telephone wire above our heads. I took a quick photo and when I got home started work on this picture.
The lovely thing about this image is how content these two lovebirds seem to be in each others company. Enjoying the early morning sun on a a lovely summers day, they are the very picture of happiness.
Cut into black card and framed in a deep box frame, the picture has a lovely blue mount at the back to make it represent the sunny day the original picture was taken on. The best thing about this picture is the shadow effect that the picture gives off when placed in a well lit spot. Then it really comes to life.
The picture is 25 x 25cm and will sit comfortably on any feature wall, or it is deep enough to stand independently on a shelf.
