When I discovered these lovely wooden ducks I decided I wanted to add something that resembles a gardener. I thought the boots looked like wellingtons and that’s where I tried to think of a unique idea.
Then I decided on bees! They had to be bright and bold, yet cute in their own way. I thought this design worked perfectly with it.

Full description
This Bumblebee Booted Wooden Duck makes a great gift for gardeners. It’s a lovely ornament to place in your kitchen window to brighten up even the dullest of days. Or maybe you want to just add to your wooden duck collection, where ever you choose to place your new feathered friend it is bound to fit in just right.
Each of these ducks are approx. 23cm tall and are hand carved in Indonesia (this is a fair trade item) out of bamboo root and teak wood, as each of these are made from hand using natural materials they will vary in shape and personality but will resemble the duck photographed.
The ducks are hand decorated by myself. I first paint the body white, I then apply each bright illustrated bumblebee separately using my own decoupage technique. It is then sealed all over to protect from dust and scrapes. I have then finished it with a big bright yellow bow on its neck.
This is not a toy Not suitable for small children. Do not submerge in water.
