30% of all sales will be donated to Brighton Women's Centre to help them through this tough time. They do amazing work offering hands on support and therapy to women and families here in my local city, Brighton, where we have one of the largest populations of homeless in the country.
We have an amazing book of incredible photographs by Karl Blossfeldt who took beautiful close-ups of plants and other natural objects displaying their geometry and repeating patterns.
This particular pattern is based on the seed head of a sunflower.
I made it by cutting hundreds of tiny circles out of a plastic board (giving myself nerve damage in my thumb in the process) and then sticking them to the printing plate with super glue in a 'fibonacci' pattern.
The plate was printed using damp paper and LOTS of pressure. I used the same plate (inked up) to create a similar print, 'receptacle' which is also for sale. They would look stunning together.
