Due to traditional features and construction methods my bears (and other creatures) are decorative collectors items. My items are not intended for use as toys and do not comply with toy safety standards. As such my items are not recommended for those under the age of 14 years. Julie's Bear Studio does not accept any liability for the misuse of my items.
Any exceptions to the above will be detailed in the listings.
The pattern for this elephant was my great-grandmothers, passed down to me via my mother. The last time a family member made this elephant was 50 years ago. It has been a pleasure brining it back to life again.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
Full description
This is one of a kind dancing elephant is Amara. She stands 9” tall and has been carefully reconstructed from a pattern belonging to my great-grandmother. She has been handmade from grey cotton plush fur fabric.
Amara has painted blue glass eyes, felt tusks and is richly adorned with a head dress and jewellery. She comes with her own stand.
This is a OOAK collectors item not a toy, and so is not recommended for those under the age of a 14years. This item has not been CE tested.
Amara will be sent via special delivery. Due to the current outbreak she will packed and sealed for a minimum of 3 days before posting, trips to the post office are once per week. Please allow plenty of time for her arrival due to delays in the postal system.
