I had made some multicoloured glass puddles by making a chunk of glass and then smashing it to pieces to put back into the kiln. Some of the smaller smashed pieces made perfect multicoloured frit which were calling out to be put to good use on a bright base. Add a bright green and white sheet of glass, sprinkle the frit and here's the colourful result!

This vibrant glass plate is made from Spring Green and White opalescent hand-cut glass, decorated with handmade multicoloured frit glass. It had a total of 4 firings in the kiln, each time with an annealing process to reduce any thermal shock during the cooling process. After the second firing, a coldworking process by hand was applied to remove any bulges at the seams where the two coloured glasses meet to ensure a professional finish. The piece was then fire polished before being slumped into its final shape. It measures approximately 21.6cm square and stands a maximum 3cm high when measured at the corners. It's a beautiful colourful decorative dish perfect for serving Afternoon Tea treats, or just to brighten up a room.
Price includes postage within the UK. For delivery outside of the UK please contact me direct for shipping costs.
