Full description
A cheerful , summery seaside design featuring a lighthouse just off the beach, embroidered and appliqued to the front of a re-usable notebook cover. The notebook is included.
The background for this design has been created by 'felting' lengths of yarn to a felt background, using an embellisher machine. In order to stabilise the attachment of the yarn, random machine stitching in zigzag stitch in fine white thread has been worked across the design. Using wool and cottons, a lighthouse has been embroidered. Thrift and yellow coastal poppies have been represented by simple stitching in the foreground of the design. The embroidered panel has been stitched to a cover created from pale blue fabric lined in a white and cream print fabric. The cover is slipped onto a standard A6 notebook (of plain,un-ruled leaves) which is included. Crocheted cords, tied in a bow, provide a closure for the cover. Replacement notebooks are commonly available.
