Hello and welcome to my Folksy shop! I've been making for others since 2013 and if you'd like to see what my customers have said about my work since then (before I opened up here on Folksy), you can read more than 1,000 reviews on my web site: http://www.thecrimsonrabbit.co.uk/ (click 'Reviews' on the bar at the top of the page).

In addition to the UK, I'm happy to ship most items to the US, Canada, Japan and Australia - just message me for a shipping quotation If a shipping price isn't shown against an item you're interested in. Please note that all US shipping prices shown DO NOT include tracking. If you'd like your package sent with tracking, please message me for a quotation.

Many of the pieces I make are made to order and the shipping time is a 'worse case scenario' estimate - I will often make and send items quicker than indicated, although things do sometimes slow down at busy times. If you want something urgently, just message me and I'll confirm if I can meet your deadline. Some items over £30 are posted via the 'Tracked 24' Royal Mail service automatically, but if you'd like to make sure you have this on your order, just message me.

I'm more active on Instagram than anywhere else: https://www.instagram.com/the_crimson_rabbit/ but you can always find me online elsewhere: my blog is here: www.thecrimsonrabbit.co.uk, my facebook page here: www.facebook.com/thecrimsonrabbitpage and my Pinterest addiction is evidenced here: http://www.pinterest.com/crimsonrabbit/

Strawberry Thief was designed by William Morris in 1883. It was part of a group of designs incorporating animals with flowers. Liberty Fabrics first produced it as a furnishing fabric in 1979 and it has since been redrawn for Tana Lawn on a smaller scale. Strawberry Thief has been on classic Tana since 1955.

With such a popular print, it isn't surprising that it's available in so many colourways! The main ones that I have in my Liberty collection are this teal, a bright blue and a lovely subtle grey. It is such a perfect print for my purses because the main bird feature of the print fits perfectly onto both my small and larger coin purses.

Full description

This is a larger sized frame purse that will happily carry your cards, cash, a key, lip balm - it is surprisingly capacious!

I've made the purse by partnering Liberty lawn in the classic Strawberry Thief print and a toning Teal coloured Essex Linen. The lining is made with golden shot silk and there's a credit card sized slip pocket inside. There's also an alternative hot pink lining option, if shot silk isn't your thing.

I've added woven cotton interfacing to the outer and linings to strengthen them, and I've added some soft fleece that gives a puffy effect that feels nice in your hand and protects the contents.

The metal frame of the purse is a pale bronze colour and I've hand stitched it into place using a perle cotton in a rich gold. The purse frame has 'eyes' on the side so that you could attach a chain or wrist strap to, if you wished.

Please see the final photograph for the dimensions of the purse. If you like the design and size of the purse but would like it made with different fabrics / colours, just message me to discuss what's possible.
