Reloving Unloved Toys.
This broken character pulled at my heart strings, I wanted to repair, recreate and share her.

Dottie Dollie Vintage Doll Brooch - Judy the Bell Girl is a handmade replica of a real broken antique doll head from my collection. Her original head was dirty and unloved, she was discarded and buried as rubbish almost a hundred years ago. I completely fell in love with her gorgeous face, and knew that she had to have a new life!
Judy was carefully hand-painted with acrylic paint and soft pastels, several coats of ceramic sealer have been applied to protect the painted finish. She has hand painted blue eyes, and golden blonde hair. Her pale green bell girl hat, and painted hair bow, complete the vintage look.
She is approximately 28mm high, and has a 15mm rollover safety pin at the back, which has been securely attached with epoxy glue.
Due to the nature of handmade items no two are exactly the same, making each brooch an individual.
Judy wouldn't like to go swimming, and should be protected from heavy showers of rain.
