A drive from Wensleydale through Hawes and into Swaledale, over Buttertubs pass on a cold, bright winter day inspired this piece. Even in January, the colours are so beautiful, with one hillside flowing into another and the road twisting and turning to reveal yet another breathtaking view at every turn. These are the roads made famous by the Tour de Yorkshire cycle race.
