Trade beads were shipped out to Africa from Venice between the late 1880s and the early 1920s and used as currency. The two featured in these earrings are unusually small and delicate.
They have been matched with small glass beads made in Ghana from recycled bottles and small brass beads.
Condition: Trade beads usually bear the scars of their well travelled lived in the form of small chips, but these two are in excellent condition. They are called 'millefiori' beads which means 'a thousand flowers'.
Presentation: Your earrings will be sent in a presentation box ready to give to someone special (or to keep for yourself ).
Gifts: I can send to another address and include a handwritten message if requested.
Postage: I can usually post within 24 hours and postage is free.
Environment: All of my outer packaging is either recycled or reusable.

I like to use brass beads with African trade beads. I think it is more traditional and always seems to look 'right'.
