Full description
This piece conjures up childhood to me. I was always making up stories with my toys, playing school, shop or as in this case, bands.
I created this one off textile art picture from my own original illustration. Using grey thread on cream cotton, I free motion embroidered the little girl and all her toy animals as though they were in a marching band. I really enjoyed adding details in stitch and each animal, rabbit, elephant, mouse and bear, has its own instrument. I think you can even see their different personalities! Colour has been added in either fabric paint of appliqued cotton pieces.
I think this would be an ideal gift for a child , an animal lover or even a musician! It comes in an off white mount and is packaged in a cellophane cover. It measures 35.5 x 28cm including mount. Actual embroidery size is 28 x 20cm.
