The pattern for the helmet was in one of my old pattern books from the 70's and I found the yarn in my stash of vintage yarns. I needed a small project so decided to knit it.

Full description

This hat is knitted from a vintage pattern using vintage yarn. The yarn contains mohair so it has a slight fluffy look. The hat which is a helmet style has an all over pattern and fastens under the chin with a strap and button. I think that the pattern size is on the large side and would fit an older baby so please check the measurements

Please note that the button is firmly sewn on but care should be taken to ensure it remains secure.

Colour - blue

Yarn - 75% acrylic 20% kid mohair 5% wool

Size - 0-6mths

Measurements - circumference 44cm

Washing - hand wash
