I'm Andrea and I've been knitting since I was a child.
When my children were born I knit clothes for them and was always on the look out for different patterns. As they grew up and didn't want hand knitted clothes I turned to other crafts like cross stitch and cardmaking. When my first granddaughter was born I started knitting again as my daughter wanted handmade cardigans and jumpers, especially liking some of the older patterns I still had. Four grandchildren later I stopped again for a while as they didn't need handknits and I didn't enjoy making larger garments.
When I retired I decided to start knitting again especially in the evenings while watching television. I spotted a magazine with eye catching patterns so made a start. I also had my old pattern books and some wool left over from previous projects so my knitting projects began.
I love knitting with luxury yarns as well as the normal synthetic ones and all yarns I use are from well known brands. Prices might seem high for some of the garments but my pricing only reflects the cost of the yarn plus a small amount to cover costs, my labour comes free!
