Hi, a warm welcome to the Dragon Art Glass shop on Folksy. I'm Andrea, a full time glass addict (oops, artist!) living and working in the valleys of South Wales. I've had a little shop here on Folksy since about 2016, but can also often be found at local craft markets and in my studio in Senghenydd.
I always aim to send out orders as quickly as possible, (often within a day), but please be aware that I post only via Royal Mail.
To make things easier for you, I can gladly gift wrap any presents, add a hand-written note and send them directly to the recipient at no extra charge – just leave me a note and details when you checkout.
If you have any questions, then feel free to reach out and get in touch. Thank you for looking (and if you should decide to purchase , a huge thank you!)
I love owls, and a particular influence of mine is the late Inuit artist Kenojak Ashevak. I love her unusual birds and their colours. Inspired by one of her owls in particular.

Full description
This is an unique, large freestanding arched panel, hand painted with an owl standing by a tree. It was inspired by the paintings of the late Inuit artist Kenojak Ashevak, and although I love it, I can't possibly keep everything.
It has had four trips to the kiln to make it, and a lot of time spent on it (which was reflected in the original price), but it is time to let it go. This piece is an end of line, not a second.
It casts gorgeous bright colours when placed in the sunlight, for example on a window ledge, but looks just as good with fairy lights or a candle gently glowing behind it.
The arch is 9.5 inches across the back edge, by 7 inches high. If the curve of the arch is measured, the apex is about 4 inches, and the outer circumference is 12.74 inches.
Due to the weight and price this would need to be sent as a signed for parcel - this is reflected in the postage costs - it will be securely wrapped.
