Shop Announcement:

Thank you for visiting my Folksy Shop.

I create jewellery and metal craft pieces in my little workshop based in East Yorkshire. Influenced by nature, the sea, mythology, medieval art and viking culture (with lots of hares and mermaids!)

I am currently taking a break and look forward to re-opening my shop on 8th August, and to adding lovely new pieces! Enjoy the sunshine and stay safe ❤️

Pictish Stag Pendant with Dendritic Opal

Pictish Stag Pendant with Dendritic Opal
Love this

I have made this pendant in sterling silver, piercing out a stag and creating a back piece, all carefull soldered into place to hold a beautiful dendritic opal. The pendant is hand engraved and hammer textured with an oxidised finish.

Hallmarked by Sheffield Assay Office.

Measuring approx 45mm x 30mm excluding bale.

This pendant comes with an 18" chain (if you would prefer a different length please contact me - a longer chain may incur a slight extra charge).

I have always been interested in the art that our ancestors left behind, a connection to the distant past. The meanings often lost over time but the images remain beautiful all the same. This pendant is inspired by the image of a stag found on the Dunfallandy Stone, a beautifully preserved stone near Pitlochry in Scotland.
