To make this brooch I first built up several layers of clear enamel then added a layer of black. The copper base may be seen behind the black, golden brown. I added rods of white and blue-grey enamel. which I then disturbed with a steel point while the brooch was at red hot in the kiln, creating the unique, random scrolled pattern.
This brooch measures 40mm by 30mm. It is mounted on a 26mm brooch bar I have soldered to the copper base. The pin secures with a rotating catch. The brooch bar is mounted along the centre line of the oval and the brooch may therefore be worn vertical, as shown in most of the pictures, or horizontal.
Your brooch will be sent boxed, by Royal Mail first class large letter, signed for.
