The wooden ducks are hand-carved using bamboo root and are bought in from Indonesia, my suppliers boast with pride that these are 100% fair trade items, making them even more desirable.

What inspired this particular wooden duck is the fact that - they are collectables. Therefore I felt I had to do a nice bright, bold style, one that broke the mould... well I feel this little ducky has with all its blueness and butterflies.

I wanted it to be summery but not to say that actually it is just for summer but something that will brighten up a home all year round and not look odd. Butterflies are special, they're just gentile and beautiful creatures so it softens the bold blue with these dainty animals.
