This print was inspired by a visit to the spectacular ruins of Fountains Abbey, North Yorkshire. There is a large colony of Jackdaws who have made their home in the ruins. When we visited in late Spring there was a great many fledgling birds testing their wings from the top most walls of the abbey.
This print has been selected to appear in the Ferens Art Gallery Open Exhibition 2020.

Jackdaws original limited edition linocut print.
Titled, 'Fountains Abbey Jackdaws', hand cut and printed in 5 colours on hand press.
Signed, titled and numbered in pencil by the artist.
This print has been selected to appear in the Ferens Art Gallery Open Exhibition 2020.

Every time an image is hand pressed the anticipation of the reveal when pulling back the paper can make for some wonderful, unique images. The weight of the press, amount of ink and paper used means every single print is different, such a refreshing change in this digital age.
Limited Edition of 100. Once these are all sold that's the edition finished and the lino plates will be destroyed, which means you've bought something very special!
Certificate of authenticity will be included with the print.
Supplied in a cream mount.
Mount size: to fit frame 28 x 35cms, (approx. 11" x 13.75").
Printed on archival quality printing paper using water based inks.
