'On the Tops'
I am very lucky to live on the tops in Calderdale in Yorkshire which is surrounded by hills and sheep. On a summers day, it can look soft and gentle, but in the autumn and winter is becomes a harsh and cold environment. I am always amazed at how hardy our sheep are as the brave the wind and rain and snow. Always inspired, I have tried to capture the sometimes bleak feel of 'The Tops' yet still beautiful landscape that inspired the Bronte novel 'Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte.
I have used quality Winsor and Newton watercolour paints and pen and ink.
The art work is an original, it is not a print. It uses a quality mountboard and measures 6 x 6 inches.
Makes for a lovely gift for someone who is fond of Yorkshire, it's sheep and high hills or 'Tops' as we call them here.
Comes sturdily packaged.
Created in my little farm cottage in Yorkshire.
I love to paint and draw!
