I wanted to give more variety when it comes to dolls and ornaments, everything that I see on the High Street or online is blonde with light skin, and I wanted young people to feel represented and to have a decoration that reflects them and their culture.
I was inspired by the brilliant efforts of the English Women's Football team (the 'Lionesses') during the Women's world cup into making both male and female footballer dolls!

This football mad lad is looking for a new home to relax in between games!
He is approximately 6 inches tall, with thick black woollen hair and a friendly hand-drawn face. He has a green football jersey with the number '1' on the back and matching bottle green shorts and football boots, and comes complete with his own large plastic football! The football is quite heavy and has been glued to his arm and side using a hot glue gun, but could be easily removed if required.
He is made from floral wire wrapped in embroidery thread, so is very bendy and fully poseable. He can bend to sit on flat surfaces, or can be hung onto a wall or Christmas tree using the green cord attached to the top of his head (which can be easily removed if needed)
