I wanted to give more variety when it comes to dolls and ornaments, everything that I see on the High Street or online is blonde with light skin, and I wanted young people to feel represented and to have a decoration that reflects them and their culture.
I was inspired by the brilliant efforts of the English Women's Football team (the 'Lionesses') during the Women's world cup into making both male and female footballer dolls!

Full description
This 'lioness' is determined to show the boys that girls can be good at football too!
She is around 6 inches tall, with a friendly hand-drawn face and thick curly black woollen hair. Her hair has been tied into a ponytail with a green bow, but this can be easily removed and her hair restyled as you wish.
She has a red ribbon football top with the number '6' on the back, and matching bottle green shorts with red football boots. She comes complete with her own large plastic football, which is quite heavy and has been glued to her side and arm using a hot glue gun. This can probably be removed without too much damage if required
She is made from floral wire wrapped in embroidery thread, so is very bendy and fully poseable. She can be hung on a Christmas tree or onto a wall using the embroidery thread attached to the top of her head, or this can be removed and she can be bent to sit on flat surfaces.
