Full description
This beautiful cobalt blue and white platter is a lovely decorative piece in its own right but is large enough to be used for fruit, cakes, or for a large pile of chocolates.
A white piece of base glass has been topped with segments cut from one piece of swirling vivid electric blue and white art glass. Smaller sections of cleared glass have then been stacked on top of the coloured glass.
Two firings were required, both taking nearly 24 hours from start to finish, the first to fuse all the glass together, and the second over a mould to shape the piece.
The finished platter has a lovely tactile finish, with a cobbled, yet smooth surface. It measures 28 x 16.5cm, and is 2.5cm high at the corners.
Care of your glass: Handwashing and drying with a soft cloth is recommended. Do not place in the dishwasher.
This item will be sent by Hermes tracked courier service well-wrapped in plenty of bubblewrap and packing peanuts.
