Amazing and substantial Oval Pigeon Blood Jasper Gemstone keyring. A Beautiful and unusual Jasper Gemstone Keyring with silvertone Findings. Could be used as a handbag charm.
The wonderful Jasper Oval shaped Bead has been carved from one solid piece of jasper, which has natural variations of colour and tones, and deep red areas which give the gemstone its name.
It is domed to the front and is flat on the back and then polished both front and back, so beautiful from both aspects. A wonderfully tactile piece.
The Pigeon blood Jasper is in a beautiful and substantial Oval shape and alone measures approx 53mms in total length, with a width across the widest point of approx 40mms and a depth of approx 8mms.
The Jasper has been simply drilled through at one end, through which I have placed a silver tone triangle bail and key chain. To complete this item as a usable keyring, the item has been finished off with a 2.5cm diameter silvertone round split ring.
I just adored this Jasper bead, so unusual. I know there are Jasper collectors out there, so this would make a wonderful gift for any Gemstone enthusiast. Gemstone Key rings, or handbag charms are a real joy to make and a pleasure to own.
As this item is a natural gemstone, it is not unbreakable, so not for robust use.
