A small piece of the English countryside for those who love woodland walks. I live beside an ancient woodland where red squirrels play and toss acorns at me from the trees when I walk by. with my dogs. They also scamper through my garden raiding my cherry tree and tapping on my windows if the ground is frozen and they want food and water.

A small piece of the English countryside for those who love woodland walks.
An adorable little brooch in autumn / fall colours to wear on your coat, jacket or sweater, or attach to your hat or bag.
This little brooch has been handcrafted by me using pale brown merino wool felt for the oak leaf and green merino wool for the acorn nut. The oak leaf has been perfectly cut and the veins have been hand embroidered using brown silk thread. The sweet squirrel sitting on a branch has his hands clasping the green acorn nut which has been wet felted and stitched as well as glued into an actual acorn cap found by me on one of my woodland walks. I have washed and sun dried the cap to remove any bugs, and wiped with a non toxic water based stain varnish to enhance the natural beauty and add some colour.
Measurement: 4" x 2" / 10cm x 5cm approximately at the widest.
You will receive this brooch carefully wrapped in tissue paper and enclosed in a pillow shaped box as seen in the last photo.
This item cannot be machine washed or tumble dried. However, should you need to remove a stain, just dab with a wet cloth and leave to dry.
