The bright contrasting colours of kingfishers seem like they'd be easy to spot, but they are surprisingly hard to see in the wild. Which is maybe what makes them such effective fishers!
Anyway, I love their colours and their shape, and their reputation for swiftness and stealth.

Full description
Hand stitched from felt, this decorative kingfisher will add a cheerful touch of colour.
Perfect to hang on a shelf, dresser or in a window. The embroidery is sewn by hand onto felt that is made entirely from recycled post consumer plastic bottles and is a soft but strong and fade resistant fabric. The eye is a ceramic bead and the bill is ribbon stiffened with clear nail varnish. The hangar is ribbon too and the body and head are softly filled with little off-cuts.
It measures 9.5cms across from wing-tip to bill-tip by nearly 9cms top to tail. Including the hangar it reaches nearly 15cms.
This little kingfisher is not a toy but a colourful decoration for the home of a nature-lover, bird-watcher or anyone who loves pretty things.
